Virtuo Group provided a roadmap for optimal utilization of SharePoint services to a major Government Agency supporting the international community in conjunction with MOSS 2007 to SharePoint Server 2010 upgrade. The Agency had not realized the full benefits of the collaboration tool to date and wanted to make the collaborative tools that SharePoint offers available to as many locations as possible. We identified, analyzed, and presented architectural options, as well as related considerations and recommendations for implementing SharePoint functionality for all locations. This required both a near-term, rapid fulfillment of the business need with a strategic solution, while longer-term options as the Agency moved into the future were simultaneously evaluated.
